More About John Goodwin

John achieved his Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Associate of Arts in Christian Counseling all from Liberty University online over a 10-year span.  John started his private practice, A Talk with John Counseling and Consulting, PLLC in 2020. He worked full-time at Colonial Materials, a construction supply company, while expanding his education and completing 30 years of service. 

After 20 years of employment John decide that he had more to offer himself, his family and life. John has a passion for helping people and a lifetime of experience. John considers counseling as an in-depth conversation to the heart and soul of the matter, providing clients with a space to be open and honest while helping them to identify goals for change.  John considers himself a practical conversationalist for life situations.
